Upcoming Events In Our Cozy Space

Sat Naam and Namaste on this beautiful Wednesday afternoon

We just wanted to send out an update on our upcoming events for December.  It’s hard to believe we’re moving through December already as we prepare to close a decade, and open space for 2020 and all the wondrous opportunities and challenges for growth it  will bring each of us.

This is an important time to take stock and reflect, not just of the past year, but truly what the past 10 years have presented for you, celebrate your growth in small and large ways,  and perhaps look at what you’re ready to let go of.  The end of a decade is a powerful time to set intentions for this next cycle in your life, as well as release patterns that don’t serve you, look at what you don’t need to carry forward and give yourself permission to set it down with gratitude.

This month we have lots of exciting things happening to bring us through to the end of 2019, starting with this coming weekend.  We are welcoming Lily Swain on Saturday, December 7th,  for a Yoga + Mandala Making workshop (for kids and their caregivers).  The circular and repetitive design of a mandala offers a meditative focal point, helping to calm the mind and tap into creative energy.  Participants will choose an intention which will serve as a guide to help anchor us in the present moment.  Mandala’s are a powerful practice through the creation of your personal mandala and as a meditation practice.  At our workshop this Sunday we’ll dive into some yoga practices releasing tension and making space for our creativity to flow, Lily will then take us on this powerful journey of co-creating mandala’s.  This will be the first of these beautiful offerings, stay tuned for future dates!  There are still a few spaces open for this Saturday if you’d like to join us register here  or send us an email or give us a call.

Sunday afternoon, December 8th, we are holding our monthly karma class for the lanark county food bank.  Simonne will lead you through some gentle movement and an extended gong relaxation from 2:00 – 3:00 pm.  These afternoons are pretty special, and such a beautiful way to give back to your community, ensuring we all have food and nourishment.  We are accepting non-perishable food items, or financial support for the food bank .  Our basket is just outside of our studio year round, we are grateful to each of you for helping us to refill our basket on an ongoing basis.
