Starting this week, the week of October 8th, we will be offering our Mindful Movement, Meditation and Relaxation classes on
Wednesday evenings from 7:15 – 8:30 pm
Thursday afternoons from 1:45 – 3:00 pm
An opportunity to ease into your breath and your body finding that place of comfortable functional movement. We want to support you to create space in your body and your breath patterns so you can approach your life with a greater sense of calm, ease and patience. This class is grounded in the teachings by Jon Kabat-Zinn as well as Amber’s background as a Registered Massage Therapist, and her own personal practice and journey to health and wellness. In this class Amber will guide you into your breath establishing a health promoting rhythm, we’ll spend some time exploring and practicing mindfulness based movement and meditation practices, and the last 15-20 minutes we’ll spend in blissful relaxation (often accompanied by the gong) giving your nervous system a reset and any physical tension the opportunity to dissolve away.
In the spirit of the true heart of yoga and meditation offerings, these classes will allow you the option of either paying with your regular class pass (this includes our monthly and bliss unlimited passes), a drop- in fee, or to allow these teachings and practices to be more accessible we are also offering this special class by donation. These options allow the class to be sustainable for the teacher and the overhead costs of running the program, but it also allows people to attend who may not otherwise be able to due to financial restraints or restrictions. We feel the desire to practice yoga and mindfulness techniques should never be met with a stress, but rather an opportunity to be supported. Your payment option will be confidential, we just want you to come out if this would be a benefit to you. Amber will check in when you arrive.
